About usBoxHaven OwnerMichael McCallister is a custom cabinetmaker with over 25 years experience in designing and building fine furniture. He has studied furniture making, design, and weaving at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, and participated in workshops in traditional marquetry practice with noted American marquetry artist Silas Kopf. Michael's work has been included in national and regional shows including Table, Lamp and Chair in Portland, Oregon. Contributing ArtistsAnne Storrs began her career as a professional tile maker, earning an invitation to show in the "Contemporary Crafts of Oregon" at the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Since then she has added cast stone and bronze work to her repertoire and now creates large pieces for architectural installations. Her projects include “Bay Leaf Arch,” Knight Law School at University of Oregon; “Nine Bees” in bronze for Catlin Gabel High School in Portland; and 50 ceramic medallions for Central Square Station in Cambridge, MA. Taking inspiration from native plants, Storrs creates contemporary work that reflects our Northwest heritage, and her unusual and honest pieces have brought her a national following. Anne Warnock is an artist with a BFA in Printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Her linocut block prints have appeared in many exhibitions including Wonder Women: 34 Amazing Oregon Women Artists; Timberline Lodge’s Mountain High X: 20 Years, 20 Prints; and the Oregon Biennial. She specializes in printmaking and design and has done public commissions and book illustration. She lives with her family and a 5’ X 10’ Ray Trayle printing press in Portland, Oregon. |
